September 2018 News Blitz

The Toastmasters’ International convention recently concluded in Chicago, Illinois.
The Founder’s District was well-represented at the World Champion of Public Speaking by our friend Ricky LaCorte.

We welcome home LaCorte as a top ten finalist.
Congratulations on a fabulous run and a tremendous achievement.

The winner of the 2018 World Champion of Public Speaking, was Ramona Smith of Houston, Texas.
Smith shared an inspiring story titled, “Still Standing.”

And now is the time to start your plans to be on stage or support next year’s contests by flying or driving to the 2019 Toastmasters’ International convention being held in Denver, Colorado.

It’s a short 15-hour summer-road-trip from Orange County, California.
In addition to the World Champion Speech Contest, you can take advantage of world class workshops and training sessions.

On a sad note, we all lost a dear friend, talented speaker and woman who was truly passionate about empowering member success – known as “The Creative Fireball,” Cindy Carpenter passed away last month. We love you Cindy. Rest in peace, knowing your legacy will inspire us to go from good to great.

In the spirit of success, your Founder’s District offers you access to one-on-one training, every second Sunday of every month, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

I’m talking about the Sunday Learning Lab.
